Marilyn Peterson is founder and owner of Peterson Bookkeeping and Consulting which provides QuickBooks bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, and business consulting to owners of small businesses in Dayton, Kettering, Springboro, Middletown, and surrounding areas in Ohio. Marilyn enjoys building relationships with her clients to assess and solve their accounting needs and help them be more successful in their businesses.
Some of the recent projects Marilyn has completed include setting up QuickBooks Online for a construction client, taught a retired school teacher how to do the books, finding $100K in unbilled invoices for a consulting company, streamlining accounting procedures resulting in 80 hours per month savings in bookkeeping time, implementing a point-of-sale and QuickBooks desktop integration for Wendy’s and Qdoba franchises, developing inventory control procedures for an antique furniture manufacturer and creating assembly inventory items using Sage50.
Marilyn is a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a Certified QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisor. She is also proficient in Sage software (formerly Peachtree). Prior to starting her own firm in 2005, Marilyn served as programmer and technical support for a medical center payroll system with over 10,000 employees.
Marilyn earned her BBA from Ohio University in Athens, OH. She is married with two grown daughters. When she is not working, she enjoys Jazzercise, cooking, walking her dog, gardening, and watching The Brave or Gray’s Anatomy.
